OPS is a software for optimization based production planning and scheduling. The most prominent application is within steel production. OPS consists of an application server (OPS Server) to which clients (OPS Client) can connect and execute optimization from a user friendly interface. Alternatively OPS Server can be used to solve optimization problems in batch directly from an MPS system. OPS is built with Microsoft .NET technology and uses the IBM Webspere BPM product OPL/Cplex as optimization engine.
